1. Who we are
The Inner Line™ is part of UpTalk, founded by Gerry Hamill. UpTalk is the data controller for the personal information described in this notice. That means we decide how and why it is used, and we are responsible for looking after it.

2. The information we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us, plus the minimum technical information needed to run and protect the website.

We do not ask for, and ask you not to send, sensitive information (for example about health, beliefs or criminal records) through the website forms.
3. How we use it, and our lawful basis
UK data protection law requires us to have a lawful basis for each use of your information.

We will never sell your information, rent it to anyone, or use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
4. Emails from us
If you sign up to follow The Inner Line™, we will send occasional emails only. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe at any time by emailing gerry@uptalk.co.uk. Once you unsubscribe we will stop emailing you and keep only a minimal record of your email address so we do not contact you again by mistake.
Sending you a reply to an enquiry does not sign you up to our mailing list.
5. Cookies and tracking
This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels or any other tracking technology. Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so visiting the site does not send your information to font providers or other third parties.
If we introduce analytics in future, we will update this notice first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before any non-essential cookies are set.
6. Who we share it with
We only share your information with trusted service providers who help us run the website and send email. They act on our instructions, under contract, and may not use your information for their own purposes.
- Twilio SendGrid: delivers enquiry notifications and our emails, and stores our mailing list. SendGrid is part of Twilio Inc., based in the United States.
- Our website host: stores the website, its server logs and a secure back-up copy of form submissions. Digital Footprints builds and manages the website on our behalf.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of UpTalk, our participants or others.

7. International transfers
Because SendGrid is based in the United States, your name and email address may be processed there. These transfers are protected by the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, under which Twilio is certified, and by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the standard contractual clauses in our agreement with Twilio. You can contact us for more information about these safeguards.
8. How long we keep it

9. How we protect it
The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Form submissions are stored in an area of the server that cannot be reached from the web, and access to email accounts and systems is limited to the people who need it and protected by strong passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable, appropriate steps to protect your information.
10. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Access: ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- Rectification: ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- Erasure: ask us to delete your information;
- Restriction: ask us to limit how we use your information;
- Objection: object to our use of your information where we rely on legitimate interests;
- Portability: ask for information you gave us in a reusable format;
- Withdraw consent: at any time, where we rely on consent, without affecting what we did before you withdrew it.
To use any of these rights, email gerry@uptalk.co.uk. There is normally no charge, and we will respond within one month. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
11. Young people
This website is intended for adults, organisations and professionals. Some Inner Line programmes, such as Foundations™, work with young people through schools, colleges and partner organisations. Any personal information in those programmes is handled under separate arrangements agreed with the delivering organisation, not through this website. We do not knowingly collect information through this website from anyone under 16.

13. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time, for example when the full Inner Line website launches or if we introduce new services. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Where changes are significant, we will let people on our mailing list know.
